Explain a little about your area of expertise and what you do at Economit

As the Sales Director, I am dedicated to driving growth and success through a robust sales engine built on the foundation of excellent customer service. My role involves developing strategic sales plans and fostering strong client relationships. By prioritising customer satisfaction and leveraging my 25+ years working in sales and client services, I aim to enhance Economit's market presence and deliver exceptional value to our clients. My commitment to excellence ensures that our sales strategies meet and exceed business objectives, creating a sustainable path for long-term success.

What attracted you to this type of role and how long have you worked in this area?

I have worked in sales and client services for many years, and from the outset, I could see what an excellent business Economit is. It was clear that the company and I have very similar aspirations and core values, as well as a clear vision and understanding of excellent customer service. Economit is built on firm foundations, which is encouraging as we plan to grow and build our customer base.

My favourite bit of my job is...

I love being in front of customers and working with them to help build an offering that positively impacts their business. I enjoy building long-lasting relationships born out of excellent customer service and built on trust. I also enjoy working 'on' the business as we strive to build something new and exciting that sets us apart from the competition.

In my spare time, you’ll find me…

Most of my time is spent with my family, ferrying my three kids around to their activities (which I love), but when I do get time for myself, I try to keep fit by going to the gym and watching my football team, Sheffield Wednesday. Now that our kids are a bit older, my wife and I like to take advantage of the live-in babysitter (our eldest) and go out for meals and drinks with friends.

My first memory of technology was...

One year, my brother and I were lucky enough to get a Spectrum 128k + 2 and a Bigtrak for Christmas. So my first proper memories will be being frustrated waiting for Jetset Willy to load on the Spectrum, then sending Bigtrak into the kitchen with an apple!
